Ami Allison (Erdel) Clayton, 50, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at her home.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Arnold Funeral Home.

Visitation is Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of services at Arnold Funeral Home.

Ms. Clayton was born on November 11, 1970, in Mexico, the daughter of Janice (Powell) Erdel and Donald Erdel.

Ami was an animal lover and had many pets of her own.  She enjoyed taking rides on her motorcycle and taking pictures of family and nature.  Ami liked to spend time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She was known to her family and friends as someone with a great sense of humor, a hard worker and a loyal friend.

Survivors include her mother, Janice Erdel of Mexico; her father, Donald Erdel of South Carolina; three children, Orion (Jennifer) Clayton of Mexico, Allison Clayton of Columbia, Nathan Clayton of Mexico; one brother, Tim Erdel of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Charles, William, Aydan and Orianna.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Mexico Animal Shelter. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
