Willard Phelps Stebbins passed away on October 26, 2022 at Vernon Manor Health Care Center.  He had dealt with melanoma for the past year.

Willie was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 15, 1930 to Willard Robert and Edith Rose.  He was raised in Rolla, Missouri before venturing off to a lifetime of teaching positions.  Willie's longest position was his last at East Hartford School District where he spent almost 40 years.

It is said the richness of one's life is in the tapestry of friends, Willie was rich beyond measure. We wish to especially acknowledge Jim, Phil, Fran and Linda for, in some cases 50 years plus, the love and care of good friends.  The list is too long of friends and relatives across the United States from California to Maine who he maintained an active correspondence with over his entire life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step mother, his brother Robert Montague and his peer generation of cousins, except for Leslie who survives him as well as his nephew and niece, Bob and Nancy.
