Wesley Junior "Nip" Knipfel, 85, of Auxvasse, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Mr. Knipfel was born on January 28, 1936 in Mexico, the son of John Wesley Knipfel and Inez Bernice (Bird) Knipfel.

Wesley, better known as "Nip" to his friends, was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved to have gatherings with family and the many people he had met from the equine industry.  He also enjoyed spending time following St. Louis Cardinal baseball.

Survivors include three daughters, Deborah (Jim) Mefford of Walker, IA, Pam Beavers of Anamosa, IA, Michelle Knipfel; one son, Troy (Renee) Knipfel of Auxvasse; two brothers, Robert Knipfel of Mexico, Larry Knipfel of Mexico; two sisters, Beatrice Means of Bethany, MO, Sandy Callahan of Russellville, MO; six grandchildren, Natasha Schuler, Travis Doudney, Chad Beavers, Calvin Beavers, Josie Knipfel and Haley Knipfel and nine great-grandchildren.

Mr. Knipfel was preceded in death by four sisters, Edna Scott, Bonnie Karhoff, Judy Hudson, Doris Karhoff and two brothers, Howard Knipfel and Raymond Knipfel.
