Wendell Lee Revels, 54, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, in Mexico, Missouri. Wendell was born June 10, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest son of Lydia Florence Hill and Harold Lee Revels.

Wendell met the love of his life and best friend, Kimberly Dexter, in 1985, and the two of them were inseparable until her death in 2016. They were married April 16, 1999 in Hallsville, MO.

Wendell attended school at Community R-VI and worked for many years at A.B. Chance Co. in Centralia, MO.

Wendell loved his family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors and spent many an hour fishing, collecting rocks, bottles and arrowheads. He also enjoyed drawing and woodworking. He drew many tattoos and was avidly working on an axe handle he designed.

He is survived by his mother, Lydia F. Willis of Laddonia, MO; children, Jeremiah "Jay" Daniel Revels (Chelsea) of Mexico, MO, Nicole Lee Revels Coleman (Shawn) of Columbia, MO and Dakota "Koda" John Revels of Centralia, MO; stepson, Eric Keith Dexter of Mexico, MO; grandchildren, Chesney Tiffany, Paisley Tiffany, Evan Locke, Waylon Coleman, Ellen Coleman, Tobi Revels, Hank Coleman, Alice Revels, Rayne Revels, Oliver Revels, Jaxon Revels; three step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

Wendell is also survived by four sisters, Debra Cooper, Kimberly Long, Dorothy Ladner and Melinda Willis; and two brothers, Billy Jones and Clifford Hinten Jr.

He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Harold Lynn Hinten; and two sisters, Brenda Faye Jones and Tina Cunningham Ridlespurge.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm Thursday, March 28, at the First Assembly of God Church in Centralia, MO. As per Wendell's wishes, he will be cremated and interred in the family plot in Laddonia, MO at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the services or at the funeral home to offset his burial costs.
