Charles Wayne Guinn, 73, of Moberly, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Stanford officiating. Burial will follow in Laddonia Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Wayne was born on July 17, 1948 in Louisiana, the son of Charles L. and Bessie (Woodard) Guinn. On March 4, 1972, he married Joyce Marie Shoup at the Rush Hill Community Church in Rush Hill. She preceded him in death on May 2, 2012.

Wayne graduated from Community R-VI High School in Laddonia, Missouri, in 1967. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam era until being discharged from active duty in 1971. He continued with the Naval Reserves until being discharged in 1977.

Mr. Guinn had owned a garage in Laddonia, Missouri. He also worked as a mechanic and service manager for Ryder, Wal-Mart and American Freightways.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Guinn of Moberly; friend, Andrew Dyer of Moberly; seven granddogs; two sisters, Betsy (Wayne) Shaw of Mexico and Sandy (Gene) Arens of Columbia; three sisters-in-law, Linda Ince of Happy Valley, Oregon, Betty Whittaker of St. Joseph, and June (Ron) Bohac of Charleston, South Carolina; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

In addition to his wife, Joyce Guinn, he was preceded in death his parents, his brother, Bob Ince; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Donald and Helen Shoup; and brother-in-law, Tom Whittaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Operation Homefront. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
