Vicki was born on September, 4, 1958, in Mexico, the daughter of Harry and Mattie (Beasley) Roberts. On August 6, 1999, she married Richard "Dikki" Barnes in Centralia.
She had a deep love for music that brought joy to her life and those around her. Whether she was listening to her favorite songs at home or enjoying live performances by her favorite band, Mezmer, music was her happy place. But nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family. Her laughter, warmth, and presence lit up every gathering, and she created lasting memories through simple moments shared with loved ones. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her love of rhythm, and the way she made everyone feel like family.
Survivors include her husband Richard; three children, Kristin (Michael) Veazey, Joseph (Janna) O'Connor, and Julie (Harley) Barnes; three step-children, Holly (John) Metzger, Abby (Nick) Watson, and Richie Barnes Jr.; 10 grandchildren, Terra Veazey, Elena Veazey, Cameron O'Connor, Sabastian O'Connor, Landon O'Connor, Lily Barnes, Riley Barnes, Novalee Barnes, Leeland Buchholz, and Aubrey Buchholz; three step-grandchildren, Hayslea Watson, Hollis Watson, and Lincoln Metzger; and one brother, Ronnie (Tracie) Roberts.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Zachery O'Connor; and two sisters, Cynthia Colley and Kathy Barnes.
The family requests memorials be made to the donor's choice. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Mexico, MO 65265.
