Tracy Lee Wright, 75, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, at Hopewell Baptist Church in Thompson with Rev. Jimmie Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Tracy was born on December 19, 1950, in Mexico, the son of Homer Lee and Effie Lorraine (Ransdell) Wright. On October 27, 1973 in Thompson, he married Valory Lynn Jones.

Tracy graduated from Mexico High School and was drafted into the U.S. Navy, where he served as a navigator during the Vietnam War.

Over the years, Mr. Wright worked at Smiley's IGA and Kaisers, before joining A.P. Green, where he remained until its closure. He then continued his career with the Audrain County Sheriff's Department and later at Spartan Light Metals, retiring in 2018. Tracy was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his life.

A devoted member of Hopewell Baptist Church, Tracy was baptized and married there, and also served faithfully as a Deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Valory Wright of the home; one daughter, Amanda (Shane) Stander of Columbia; one son, Douglas (Kelli) Wright of Mexico; three grandchildren, Maia Stander, Gracie Stander, and Ezra Wright; one brother, Larry (Eunice) Wright of Clinton; one sister, Sheryl Wright; and one step-brother, Dean (Debbie) Patrick of Mexico.

Tracy was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Effie Wright; and one step-sister, Sandra Patrick.
