Tony Orlando Rummans was born on March 22, 1955, in Mexico, Missouri. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1974.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Fisher of Mexico; step-father, Ernie Hayes of Peoria, IL; six siblings, Michael Rummans of Mexico, Don Rummans of Mexico, Aaron Rummans of Kansas City, Mo, Lori Rummans of Kansas City, MO, Regina Trice of Kansas City, MO and Torlen Rummans of Mexico.

Tony is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Mary Lue Fisher and Necell Gardner; grandfathers, Hubert Fisher and Mike Hayes; and his pet dog, Felicia Ann.

Private Services were held by the family.

Tony was very loving, mild-mannered, and family oriented. He was highly intelligent, extremely gifted, and artistically inclined. He had a masterful singing voice, and was a lead soloist at the church he grew up in, St Paul Church, of Mexico. He was baptized & surrendered his life to God at an early age. He was often recruited to sing at weddings, funerals, recitals, and various venues. He loved, cherished, and studied the singing techniques of his favorite vocalist, the late Mahalia Jackson.  Tony collected all of her records and many of her photos, in which he displayed throughout his home. He also enjoyed making up silly songs & dances when the family all came together.

In addition, Tony had numerous honorable mentions for his artistic work: paintings, drawings, sketches, and more. If you knew Tony, you knew that even his handwriting was a piece of art! His work was even recognized by a professional Art Museum Curator, during his younger years. In which the gentleman traveled to Tony's home in the projects to validate his artwork, & possible submissions into his gallery. Because this was mostly a hobby, Tony respectfully declined the offer.

Interior decorating was among his many gifts & talents, as well. He kept his home immaculate! Every item was impeccably displayed to perfection! Some would venture to say, that it had all of the qualities & makings of a museum, in itself. He was often paid to decorate for businesses and individuals, throughout his entire life time!

Cooking was another one of Tony's favorite pass times. He was an exceptional connoisseur of creating and selling some of his own delicious meals & cuisines. A few restaurants used some of his recipes on their menus in earlier years.

Tony loved dabbling in amateur photography, always capturing precious moments & life memories that tell the story of Tony himself! He filled many photo albums with most all of his precious memories over the years. He thoroughly enjoyed looking at old photographs of family & friends, and chuckling about the "good old days". He had such a vivid & photographic memory; he would make you feel as if you were physically living in those moments with him, yourselves.

Tony ABSOLUTELY loved life and FAMILY!! If he felt that he offended anyone, he was always quick to apologize and try to make it right...even if he was not the culprit. He chose being "righteous" over being "right".  All he really ever wanted was just to be loved and accepted!

We will miss everything about Tony! We thank God for sharing His Angel with us! He had such a beautiful heart & spirit. We will LOVE & CHERISH his memories until our last breath! We are thankful that Tony is no longer suffering from health issues, and we know we will see him again in Glory!

Tony's last heart's desire was to move home, to be with his Mother to spend the rest of his life. Instead, God had greater plans so he sent Tony home, to be with HIS FATHER for all ETERNITY!
