Timothy Michael "Red" Lawson, 51, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 at St. Paul CME Church, 614 E. Park St., Mexico, MO.

Timothy "Red" was born on August 4, 1971, the son of Bobby and Evelyn "Bee" (Shivers) Lawson.

Timothy "Red" graduated from Mexico High School in 1991. He loved cooking, especially BBQing, fishing, listening to music and his dog "Boss."

Survivors include two sons, Timothy Michael Alan Taylor and Timothy DeShay Lawson; one daughter, Paytience Lawson – Holman; four grandchildren, Zavier, DeShay, Amira and Juliyah; brother, Robert Lawson; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.

Timothy "Red" was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Henry and Minnie (Exford) Shivers and Goldie Mae Cross Lawson.
