Timothy Ray Wood, 73, of Auxvasse, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at his home.

Tim was born on October 30, 1952, in McAlester, Oklahoma, the son of Leonard and Alice (Wallen) Wood. He graduated from Indianola High School in Indianola, Oklahoma.

On November 26, 1995, Tim married the love of his life Nancy Cash, in one of their favorite places, Las Vegas, NV. They created a family that grew as fast as time flies. They enjoyed over 30 years of love, laughter, and happiness. Their strong partnership never wavered through any trial of life good or bad. Tim and Nancy shared a love for one another that few ever experience.

Tim dedicated his career to highway and bridge construction. Beginning as a young man, following his uncle's path, Tim began his career in the construction industry. Throughout the years, Tim dedicated himself to something he loved. He became a well-known crane operator and was often sought out as the superintendent that could get the tough jobs done on time and with top quality results. Tim retired October of 2020 ending a successful career that turned into buddies calling him for the best advice on how to approach the next step in a hard job.

In his free time, Tim enjoyed working on many projects tinkering in his shop for hours. He also spent all the time he could with his family. One of his favorite pass times was spending Saturday mornings with his mother-in-law Darlene. Those mornings were always booked for her.

There are endless stories of Papa's Tim's shop "where everything is Timmy rigged", fixed up better than ever. The grandkids will continue to tell their stories of their times driving with Papa learning to drive first in the Gator and then on to gravel roads in the old red stick shift.

There are so many memories that will live in our hearts forever. He was a top notch, husband, dad, and papa as well as a great friend and loved one to countless others.

Tim was a man many looked up to. He taught us how to live by showing us how to show up, work hard, do your best and "to never stoop to their level."

He will be greatly missed by all that knew him, especially his family and many long-time crew members.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Wood of the home; four daughters, Stephany David of Mexico, Tima McMenamy of Troy, Bridget Shafer of Troy, and Nicki Rodenbaugh of Fulton; 10 grandchildren, Brady (Courtney) David, Jonathon (Linda) McMenamy, Peyton David, Noah (Amy) McMenamy, Vernett Shafer, Micah (Keersten) McMenamy, Rayette (Lee) Sigers, Ayden Rodenbaugh, Tori Tilton, and Olllie Tilton; 10 great-grandchildren, Andrea David, Hudson David, Cruz David, Lucca McMenamy, Greyson David, Mason Ward, Kason, Ward, Ryleigh McMenamy, Lucille McMenamy and Colt Sigers; one brother, Bill Wood of Oklahoma; two sisters, Patsy (Don) Gragg and Beverly Ward, both of Oklahoma; and his mother-in-law, Darlene Cash of Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tina Wood; one sister, Kathy Wood; and his father-in-law, Clyde Cash.
