Thelma Mae McShery, 98, of Fulton, formerly of Mexico, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Fulton Manor in Fulton.

Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico. Visitation is Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Thelma was born on May 6, 1924, in Audrain County, Missouri, the daughter of Elbert and Lillie (Ball) McCloud. On February 24, 1942, in Mexico, she married Claude F. McShery. He passed away on June 18, 1994.

Thelma graduated from Mexico High School and then became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked for Foster's Boarding Home in Auxvasse.

Mrs. McShery was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved doing puzzles, sewing and quilting. She made all her grandchildren a blue jean quilt.

Survivors include many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Claude, Thelma was preceded in death by two daughters, Ruby Hultz and Nancy Kuda; and one brother, Jim McCloud.

Memorial donations may be made to Fulton Manor. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Street, Mexico, MO 65265.
