Thelma Joyce Harrison, 97, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home.

Thelma was born on December 17, 1926, in Florida, Missouri, the daughter of James and Vivian (Clairy) Keith. On June 27, 1946, at the Mexico United Methodist Church, she married Donald F. Harrison. He passed away on June 28, 1989.

Thelma graduated from Stoutsville High School. She then worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory and Sears in Mexico.

Mrs. Harrison was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church. She loved playing cards and dancing.

Survivors include one grandson, Matt (Hollan) Harrison of Wentzville; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Everliy Harrison; three sisters, Wanda Leach of Mexico, Etta Albright of Mexico and Kara Winberg of Fairhope, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Donald F. Harrison, Thelma was preceded in death by one son, Donald K. Harrison; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Harrison; one brother, Bobby Keith; sister-in-law, Ellen Keith; and two brothers-in-law, Oscar Leach and Ronnie Albright; and longtime companion, Jim Holtkamp.
