Wilma Jean “Sue” George, 86, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Pin Oaks Living Center.
Sue was born on July 12, 1940, in Lincoln County, Missouri, the daughter of James Melvin and Edna Maude (Morton) Worthington. On July 16, 1983, in Mexico, she married Curtis George. He passed away on October 1, 2009.
Mrs. George had worked for Soft Surrounding and retired at the age of 74. Playing bingo and going to the casino were happy times for Sue. She also loved her family and was especially close to her mother.
Survivors include her four children, Melinda Henry of Willamina, Oregon, Michelle Brassfield of Novinger, Michael White of Mexico, and Matthew White of Mexico; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Pat (Melvin) Rice of Lee’s Summit; and two brothers, Sid Worthington of Mexico and Russ Worthington of Willamina, Oregon.
In addition to her husband, Curtis, Sue was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Charlotte Clark and Tanis White; one sister, Kay Lynn; and two brothers, John Worthington and Dee Worthington.
