Stephen Lee Nichols, 55, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Boone Hospital Center.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Kevin Wilkerson will be officiating the service.

Stephen was born on July 19, 1969 in Mexico, the son of Melvin "Pat" and Dorothy (Mead) Nichols.

Stephen had a deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He found joy in the rhythm of music and the freedom of dancing, often letting the beat guide his spirit. A lifelong fan of classic TV, Stephen never missed an opportunity to watch The Dukes of Hazzard, always excited to revisit the adventures of Bo and Luke Duke. When it came to food, his heart belonged to pizza, and he could never resist enjoying a slice, no matter the occasion. Stephen's zest for the little things will always be remembered by those who knew him.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Nichols of Mexico; two sisters, Carolyn Nichols of Columbia and Janet (Rick) Patton of Mexico; two brothers, Dean Nichols of Mexico, Dale (Joyce) Nichols of Mokane, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Nichols; two brothers, David Wayne Nichols and Melvin Ray Nichols.
