Shirley Jean Raps, 77, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at the home of her son.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 9, at Elmwood Cemetery in Mexico. Wesley Sharp will be officiating the service.

Mrs. Raps was born on December 15, 1946 in Freemont, the daughter of Samuel and Virgie (Pigg) White.  On October 6, 1963 she married Odie Samuel Raps who preceded her in death.

Shirley loved her family.  She cherished her role as mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Shirley and Odie used to spend time together watching car racing.  She also enjoyed watching football.  Shirley was always up for a trip to Walmart.

Survivors include one son, Stacy (Mindy) Raps of Centralia; one daughter, Sonya Walker of Mexico; two brothers, Franklin (Belinda) White of Jefferson City and Leroy (Penny) White of Climax Springs; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Odie; her parents, Samuel and Virgie White; two sons, Samuel Raps and Scott Raps; one granddaughter, Samantha Bybee; one brother, Manley White.
