Shirley Ann (Frazier) Hill, age 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep under the compassionate care of the wonderful staff at the King's Daughters Home in Mexico, Missouri, on early Sunday morning, July 13, 2025.

Shirley was born August 4, 1931, in St. Louis, to Warren Henry and Helen Gertrude (Jansen) Frazier. She joined a brother, James Bernard Frazier, also known as J.B., who was two years old at the time.

When Shirley was eleven, her father passed away and her mom moved them all to Macon, Missouri. Shirley attended and graduated from Macon High School where she joined every club and activity available, including being a cheerleader.

When J.B. got married, Shirley and her mother made their way to Mexico, Missouri, where she met and married her loving husband, Eugene Hill. They had a wonderful life together which included a lot of fun traveling and volunteering. She and Gene were proud supporters of the YMCA, Presser Arts Center, Meals on Wheels, the Come Share Program and Habitat for Humanity. Shirley also loved reading and flower gardening and she earned the distinction of becoming a Master Gardener.

A very significant time in their lives was when they became charter members of Saint Matthew's Episcopal Church here in Mexico. They helped build the church building which is just a block away from the King's Daughters Home.

Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Kenny) Azdell of Mexico, and Nicki (Greg) Peck of Stover; her grandchildren, Brian Vallely, Doug (Katie) Azdell, Aaron (Jami) Peck, Leeann Peck and Tami Vallely; her great-grandchildren, Nixon and Jamison Vallely, Hallie Peck, Sullivan and Collins Azdell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and her husband, Gene.

Shirley requested a private family wake where her dry wit and sarcastic sense of humor will be discussed over martinis and Guinness.
