Ruth Ann Beasley, 79, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Boone Medical Center in Columbia.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 17, at Friendship Baptist Church. Rev. Glen Forman will be officiating the service.
A private family entombment will take place at East Lawn Memorial Park Columbarium.
Ruth Ann was born on May 24, 1946 in Mexico, the daughter of Ezra Cain and Gladys Johnson. On June 19, 1964 she married Floyd Beasley in Mexico.
Ruth Ann was a 1983 graduate of Northeast Community College in Boonville, Mississippi where she earned her degree and became an R.N. She devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a nurse, a calling that reflected her compassionate heart and gentle spirit. Her faith was the center of her life, and she found great joy attending church and participating in Bible study. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching westerns and her favorite soap operas, spending time outdoors surrounded by flowers and nature, and playing the piano. Nothing brought her greater happiness than time spent with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also cherished the companionship of her loyal dog, Bentley. Known for her warm smile and quick wit, she loved gathering with friends and family, sharing stories, laughter, and the occasional well-timed joke that brightened everyone's day.
Survivors include one daughter, Kristen Layman of Mexico; two sons, Andy (Sheila) Beasley of Mexico, Bryan Beasley of Mexico; six grandchildren, Shelby Williams, Cari (Eric) Fleming, Josh Beasley, Katelyn (Lukas) Moore, Beth Beasley, Maria Layman; five great grandchildren, Aurora Halter, Brayden Halter, Braelynn Halter, Baylor Moore, Maelee Moore; two sister In-laws, Sharon Cain and Sheri Beasley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Beasley; her parents, Ezra and Gladys Cain; one sister, Judith Cain; one brother, Ronald Cain; one great grandchild, Braxton Williams
The family requests memorial donations be made to Friendship Baptist Church. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
