Ronald Howard Carlyle, 82, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at The Neighborhoods by Tiger Place in Columbia.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. Randy Jones will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until time of service on Monday, January 26 at the funeral home.

Ronald was born on March 9, 1943 in Washington, Missouri, the son of George "Junior" and Ruth (Kreft) Carlyle.  On February 15, 1964 he married Joyce Keeling in Thompson.

Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he began a long and dedicated career with A.P. Green Brick Refractory, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 1996. A devoted member of Lockwood Baptist Church, Ronald served as a deacon and lived his faith through quiet acts of service. He was a simple man who asked for little in life, yet found great purpose and joy in helping and serving others.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Carlyle of Mexico; two children, Scott Carlyle of Mexico and Shawna (Harold) Fox of Mexico; two grandchildren, Skylar Shaw and Scarlett Shaw; two sisters, Connie Meyer of Kansas City and Debbie Garrett of Los Angeles, CA; one brother, Bruce Meyer of Kansas City.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruth Carlyle.
