Robert Henry Pugh passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on February 12, 2024. He was born on February 25, 1945 on Morris Street in Mexico, Missouri to the late James Oren Pugh and Helen Louise Barker Pugh.

When he was 18, he joined the United States Air Force and worked as a Survival Equipment Specialist. While stationed at Glasgow AFB in Glasgow, Montana, he met the love of his life, Linda Lee Madison. They were married on March 13, 1965 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Wolf Point, Montana. They later welcomed two sons, Robert Henry Pugh Jr. and Guy James (G.J.) Pugh. During his time in the military, he was stationed at Sheppard AFB, Texas, Thailand, during the Vietnam war. Tacoma, Washington. Topeka, Kansas, Mountain Home, Idaho, Torrejon, Spain, Columbus, Ohio and Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. After achieving the rank of Master Sergeant and 22 years of service, he retired from the military and moved back to his hometown of Mexico. Missouri. He then worked for Kentucky Finance, T&H Auto, The United States Postal Service as a rural carrier for 17 years, and Home Decorators as a maintenance man for 18 years until his retirement in 2015. Robert was a member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, Mexico.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda; sons, Robert Pugh and wife Susan of Fountain Hills, Arizona, and Guy (G.J) Pugh and wife Tonya of Santa Fe, MO; grandkids, Katie Pugh of Mexico, MO, Shannon Pugh of New Florence, MO, Clayton Pugh of Santa Fe, MO, Lexie Scribner, Madison Scribner and Sydnie Pugh of Fountain Hills, AZ, Rebecca Pugh and Brenna Pugh of Fallbrook, CA; sisters, Karen Fierge of Rush Hill and Pam Stuart of Laddonia; brother, Keith (Mardi) Pugh of Mountain Home, Idaho; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Billy Pugh and Jimmy Pugh; nephew, Cody Hanley; and two brothers- in-law, Earl Fierge and David Staurt.

Bob enjoyed riding his motorcycle across the country and car shows. He was a founding member of the Mexico Car Cruise Association. He had a great love for classic cars and he passed that love onto his only grandson, Clayton. Bob enjoyed hunting, trap shooting, cleaning his and everyone else's cars and in recent years, he greatly enjoyed taking care of his cats, Mickey and Baby. His greatest love though was being a grandpa. Bob was a good and honest man, whose laugh could put a smile on anyone's face. He left his mark on the town of Mexico, which he loved so much, and on the entire world. He will be deeply missed and always remembered by those who knew and loved him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 16, at St. Brendan Catholic Church with Fr. David Veit officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Brendan Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
