Robert Lee Minney, 66, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, at Centennial Baptist Church with Rev. Bryce Kristofferson officiating.

Visitation is Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Robert was born on March 23, 1956, in Mexico, the son of Robert Gene and Pearl (Rhoades) Minney. On May 31, 1975, in Mexico, he married Cynthia Lynne McDonald.

Robert graduated from Mexico High School and then served in the U.S. Army for 10 years, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. He had worked for Simmons Stables, Furniture Mart, Walter Day, Surplus Center, and then retired from Walmart after many years.

Mr. Minney was a member of Centennial Baptist Church. He was a great dad and loved his family dearly. He was always helping others and enjoyed fishing, caring for animals and talking on his cb radio.

Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Minney of the home; four children, Lisa Minney (Heith Gibbs) of Mexico; Rebecca (John) Grantham of Mexico, Robert (Shirley) Minney of Mexico, and Sarah Minney (Danny Smith) of Mexico; 12 grandchildren, Hailey Grantham, Olivia Scarborough, Maddelynn Gibbs, Tobee Gibbs, Hunter Gibbs, Samantha Minney, Cody Minney, Aiden Brown, Gunnar Kelly, Chyanne Schudel, Madison Schudel, and Robert Schudel; one brother, Charles (Tonya) Minney of Mexico; and one sister, Sherri Anderton of Auxvasse.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Pearl Minney; one brother, Tony Minney; and two sisters, Pam Wright and Michele Burrow.
