Robert Kimble Jr.

Robert Kimble, Jr., 84, of Auxvasse, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at his home.

Memorial Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Robert was born on October 1, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Ralph Ellington and Katherine Bonaparte, who preceded him in death.

Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1961 to 1966, including service in Vietnam. Following his military service, he worked as a court bailiff and reserve deputy with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Department. He also worked as a park ranger. After retiring, Robert opened Kimble’s Detective Service.

Robert enjoyed blacksmithing and was a member of Veteran’s Coffee Talk in Auxvasse. He also enjoyed watching movies and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Alice Kimble; his children, David Albert Kimble (Alison Friese), Robert (Julissa) Kimble, and Cheryl (Brett) Sandell; grandchildren, Annick (Carlos) Salas, David Jr. Friese, Solomon Friese (Iliana Miranda), Ashley (Derek) Fulgham, Phoenicia Friese (Jarred Lindstrom), Faith (Jonathan) Olvera, Evelyn Friese, Kennedy Kimble, O’Lani Flowers, Jimmy Coker, Emerson Kimble, Lauren Kimble, Carson Sandell, and Tyler Sandell; great-grandchildren, Isaiah Olvera, Damien Olvera, Stella Fulgham, Lincoln Olvera, Brody Fulgham, Isaiah Salas, Joe Salas, Antonio Salas and Sophia Lindstrom; and numerous family members and friends.
