Robert Oliver Gaebe, 73, of New Bloomfield, passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022, at his home.
A visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at Victory Fellowship Church in Fulton. Memorial Services will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Tim Marr officiating. Following services, friends and family are invited to the church fellowship hall for refreshments.
Robert was born on April 6, 1949, in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Ralph Roy and Ruth Vivian (Hiester) Gaebe. On December 23, 1981, in Fulton, he married Janice Lee Davis.
Mr. Gaebe graduated from Grimsley Senior High School and then earned his Bachelor's Degree and later his Professional Engineering (PE) from N.C. State University. His career as a civil engineer and surveyor included working for Daniel International in Saudi Arabia, CMPS in Jefferson City and Lewis-Bade Inc. in Montgomery City.
Robert was a member of Victory Fellowship Church in Fulton, where he was the "sound man" and served on the board. He volunteered for Gideons International and was a Boy Scout Leader. He also enjoyed participating in many Civil War Re-enactments throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Gaebe of the home; four children, Rachel Gaebe of New Bloomfield, Leah (Oziel) Cerda of Jefferson City, Luke Gaebe of Fulton and Jacob (Hadveria) Gaebe of Fulton; five grandchildren, Ellie, Isaac, Gabby, Titus and Otto; one great-grandchild, Ronan; four sisters, Barbara Gill of Urbana, Virginia, Linda (Mike) Geremina of Raleigh, North Carolina, Diana (Jeff) Daniel of Gainsville, Georgia and Laura (Rob) Kennerly of Madison, North Carolina; one brother, Roy (Cindy) Gaebe of Lynchburg, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Janet (Dale) Adams of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Ruth Gaebe; and one brother, Richard Gaebe.
Memorial donations may be made to Victory Fellowship Church or Gideons International. Both may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, Mo 65265.
