Rheva Tiller Tratchel passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the King's Daughters Home in Mexico, Missouri, at the age of 100.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Arnold Funeral Home, with burial to follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Rheva was born September 6, 1925, on a farm south of Vandalia, Missouri, to Hurley Grant and Leah Ruth (Angel) Beedle. She married Everette Tiller on June 14, 1946, in Vandalia, and together they raised four children: Richard, Steven, Rebecca, and Kevin. Everette preceded her in death on June 30, 1987. On May 14, 1988, she married Robert S. Tratchel and was blessed with an extended family through the Paul and Genevieve Barker family. Robert preceded her in death on February 19, 2007.

A 1943 valedictorian of Vandalia High School, Rheva began her strong work ethic early, working at the Ben Franklin five-and-dime store during her junior and senior years. During World War II, she moved to Kansas City to work at the Pratt & Whitney defense plant. She later devoted herself to her family as a homemaker until her husband's injury prompted her to return to the workforce. Rheva worked at Audrain Medical Center and later served as a bookkeeper and receptionist for Dr. Charles Garcia. She then worked for  Dr. Harry Koehn until her retirement in 1989.

Rheva was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where she faithfully served in many roles, including Sunday School teacher, department director, class secretary, nursery worker, ABC group member, and president of the Women's Mission Group. She was also active in the Helping Hand King's Daughters Circle, serving as secretary for several years.

She generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Missouri Veterans Home and Audrain Medical Center.

Rheva found great joy in her family and treasured the time spent with them. She enjoyed playing cards and games, attending country music shows, dancing, reading, volunteering, and being involved in her church and church family.

She is survived by two children, Steven (Georgia) Tiller of Mexico, Missouri, and Rebecca Guethle of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Melania Tiller of Olathe, Kansas; four granddaughters, Lisa (Rick) Smith of Mexico, Missouri, Amy (Jason) Payne of Mexico, Missouri, Jennifer (Randy) Koehn of Olathe, Kansas, and Sarah (Dave) Endres of Arizona; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister, Betty Abbington of Vandalia, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, Everette and Robert, she was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Tiller and Kevin Tiller; her siblings, Eugene (Alma) Beedle, Donald (Sue) Beedle, William (Algen) Beedle, Wesley Beedle, Viola (Calvin) Potter, and Juanita (Leland) Brenemann; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Abbington.
