A gifted, self-taught artisan, she mastered numerous crafts, creating beautiful works in basket weaving, gourd painting, wood burning, loom weaving, and the restoration of antique trunks. She also had a lifelong love for cats and cherished the many feline companions who shared her home over the years.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Jesse and his wife Debbie of Manchester, Mo. and Mark Jesse and his wife, Janet of Glenwood Springs, Co. Additionally, she is survived by two cousins, Pat Hannah and Nadine Young.

Rae was preceded in death by her husband, John, a stillborn son, James, a brother, Elkin Bright Booth and a niece Peggy.

The family requests memorial donations be made to MASTERS (Highway Patrol) or Kentucky Road Christian Church. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
