Phil Gene Sefrit, 58, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022, at his home.

Phil was born on November 8, 1963, in Mexico, the son of Gene Leroy and Elizabeth Sue (Byrum) Sefrit.

He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbecuing and bowling. Phil loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Phil is survived by two children, Ryan Sefrit and Kayla Sefrit both of Mexico; nine grandchildren, Kaiden Jennings, Karley Sefrit, Brayleigha Sefrit, Emmani Williams, Emmanuel Williams, Antoine Williams, Brentley Sefrit, Lanndree Sefrit and Koie Sefrit; one sister, Sally (Jearld) Hutson of Kansas City; and one niece, Beth (Tyler) Moreland of Lee's Summit.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Elizabeth Sefrit; and nephew, Kevin McKenzie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
