Peggy Louise Newsom, 88, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at her home.

Ms. Newsom was born on January 15, 1935 in Mexico, the daughter of Carrie Williams.

Peggy was an avid reader.  She would also spend her spare time working crossword puzzles.  Peggy was the happiest when she could spend time talking and socializing with her family.

Survivors include one son, Darrell Wayne (Hope) Newsom of Mexico; one daughter, Becky Peterson of Mexico; one brother, Jack (Ester) Williams of Mexico; five grandchildren, Carrie Pryor, Holly (Michael) Dunn, Heather Benn, Joshua Peterson and Karley Newsom; eight great-grandchildren, Preston, Jayden, Isaiah, Ethan, Carson, Porter, Timothy and Conner; two great-great grandchildren, Journi and Aaliyah.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kenneth Newsom and Randall Newsom; three grandchildren, Darrell Newsom, Aaron Newsom and Kelsey Peterson; two great-grandchildren, Hannah Dunn and Cammeron Benn; one brother, Roy Williams.
