Peggy Ruth Johnson, 89, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Pin Oaks Living Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Randy Jones will be officiating the service.

Peggy was born on October 20, 1934 in Mexico, the daughter of Prince Jewell and Leola Ruth (Miller) Null, Jr.

Peggy cherished her dogs and had a passion for gardening, often tending to her flowers. She found joy in crossword puzzles, word searches, and computer games. An artist at heart, she loved creating miniature furniture, painting, and sewing, including making Raggedy Ann dolls to share with others. Peggy also enjoyed peaceful walks, which brought her happiness.

Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline (Rob) Robinson of Mexico, Jill (Bob) Bates of Steedman; two grandchildren, Heather (Joe) Womack of Fulton, Travis Bates of Steedman; two great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jaron) Call of Fulton, Davin Bates of Fulton; two great-great-grandchildren Reiley McDonald, Waylon Call; one sister, Rebecca House of Laddonia, one brother, David Null of Mexico and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Patsy (Ben) Dobyns; one grandson, Alexander McDonald and one grandson-in-law, Clint McDonald.
