Peggy Lou Arnold, 79, of Mexico, Mo, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the University of Missouri Hospital, in Columbia, Mo. surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Arnold Funeral Home. Peggy's burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico, Mo.

Visitation is at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Peggy was born on August 8, 1944, in Mexico, the daughter of Wesley H. and Lillie Ruth (Meador) Erdel. She was one of ten children. On July 22, 1961 she married Ronald L. Arnold in Tuscumbia, Mo.

Peggy was a quiet, thoughtful individual who cared for those around her. Although quiet, Peggy could often be found at a social event with friends and family. She loved people, especially children.

Peggy's interests included quilting, spending time with family, and outdoor adventures. She enjoyed many motorcycle trips alongside her lifelong partner, Ron, be it rain or shine! Peggy also loved canoeing and their tradition of RVing near Brasstown Bald in Georgia, where they made many friends.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Ron; five children and spouses, Terri and Dan Nordwald, Rolla, Mo. Toni and Jim Bealmear, Rocky Mount, Mo. Clint and Melissa Arnold, Mexico, Mo, Traci and Casey Walsh, Afton, Mo. Curtis and Melinda Arnold, Mexico,Mo; eleven grandchildren, Kaleb, Nathan and Karina Nordwald, Jessica Anderson, Alexia Angel, Catalina and Zachary Arnold, Casey Jr. and Christopher Walsh, Skyler and Brayden Arnold; six great-grandchildren, Austin Maxwell, Gaige and Blake Anderson, Carter and Aiden Walsh, McKenzie Nordwald; seven siblings, Don Erdel, Linda Sherrow, Marilyn Penrod, Kenny Erdel, Brenda (Joe) Ezell, Randy Erdel, Robbie (Melissa) Erdel.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Judy Erdel; and one brother Ronald Erdel.
