Paula Gayle (Hill) Haythorn, 73, of Mexico, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital.

Paula was born on October 24, 1947, in Webster City, Iowa, the daughter of Paul Emil and Marjorie Doris Trausch. She married Ed Haythorn on July 19, 2012.

Paula worked for over 20 years at Wal-Mart, 54 Diner, Rendezvous and The Monterey Motel in the 80's. You could also find her at Mexico Lanes in the Women's League. She was an active member of the Dream Factory of Audrain County, a former member of The Moose Lodge #1706, Relay for Life and alongside her husband Ed, the Brick City Bad Boys.

She enjoyed chocolate, Carl Edwards Racing, sitting on the patio, watching hummingbirds, flower gardens, baking, movies and spending time on outings with her siblings.

Paula was very proud of her children, grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Paula is survived by her husband, Ed Haythorn of Mexico, three children, Heidi (Alex) Vanvactor of Mexico, Chris (Sarah) Hayes of Claremore, Oklahoma and Johnny Hayes (Michelle Alberti) of Rancho Cordova, California; a brother, Garry Trausch (Marcia Glazier) of Eagle Grove, Iowa; four sisters, Robin (Gary) Biggers of Mexico, Lisa (Gene) Silver of Mexico, Kim (Rod) Kelling of North Sioux City, Iowa  and Cathy (Jim) Dyer of Tampa, Florida; eight grandchildren, Andrew VanVactor, Kristen Kampfe, Dallas Kampfe, Ryan (Echo) Hayes, Daryn Jo (Hayden) Fox, Kenley and Millie Hayes, Preston and Randel Hayes; three great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Tom Haythorn (Martha Smith) of Moundsville, West Virginia and Joe Haythorn of McMichen, West Virginia; and step-children, Larry Haythorn of Kentucky, Rick Haythorn of West Virginia, Loretta Haythorn of New York and Lisa Neuendorf of Mexico

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marjorie Trausch; brother, Douglas Trausch; and her great-granddaughter, Saretta Rose.
