Paul David Kossmann, 72, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at his home.
Paul was born on December 12, 1950, in Mexico, the son of Norman John and Patsy Ruth (Janes) Kossmann. On December 23, 2001, in Mexico, he married Sharon Sue Howard. She survives.
At an early age, Paul attended Centennial Baptist Church. He was a 1968 graduate of Mexico High School and then obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Mr. Kossmann was a Petroleum Engineer for Amoco/BP Amoco, retiring on January 1, 2003. He was a sports enthusiast, most notably gun sports and building rifles. He also enjoyed fishing and working on furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Kossmann of the home; four children, Carrie (Charles) Hadden of Jefferson, Georgia, Trish (Jake) Gleason of Camdenton, Sara (Jason) Doty of Columbia and Jacob Meadows of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Taylor Gleason, Gray Gleason, Madison Hadden and Ben Doty; one sister, Janis (Todd) Rowe of Mexico; and two nieces, Kelly (Jason) Doebelin of Mexico and Laura (Rebel) Shipp of O'Fallon.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Kevin Matthew Kossmann and Jason David Kossmann.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75231.
