Patrick "Pat" Ray Nowlin, 75, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 19, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Harley officiating the service.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 18, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mr. Nowlin was born on December 17, 1946 in Clinton, Illinois, the son of Ralph David Nowlin and Harriet Jean (Ryan) Nowlin.  On August 25, 1968, he married Cathy Rich in Clinton, Illinois.

Pat was a farmer to the core.  He loved all aspects of farming.  Pat also worked as the Director of Adult Education at the Davis H. Hart Career Education Center.  Pat would spend some of his spare time attending county and state fairs, watching dirt track racing and attending sales.  He was an avid supporter of Mexico Bulldog athletics and was the founder of the Little Dixie Wrestling Club, now known as the Mexico Youth Wrestling Club.  Pat loved his family.  He supported his boys' interests by visiting Brick City Customs, his son Rich's shop, and attending as many games he could when his son Ryan coached.

Survivors include her his wife, Cathy of the home; his mother, Jean Nowlin of Mexico; two sons, Ryan (Christy) Nowlin of Mexico, Richie (Heather) Nowlin of Mexico; four grandchildren, Jordan (Baylee) Nowlin of Mexico, Brady (Callie Timmerberg) Nowlin of Mexico, Emma Nowlin of Mexico, Chris (Lakin Dickey) Boyce of Centralia; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Layla; one brother, Francis "Fritz" (Betty) Nowlin of Mexico; one sister, Marga "Stan" Hoelscher of Jefferson City and many, many close friends.

Mr. Nowlin was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Nowlin; his mother and father-in-law, Mack and Evelyn Rich.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Optic Atrophy Association in honor of his grandson Brady or Mexico Youth Wrestling. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
