Norma F. Precht, 99, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Kings' Daughters Home with family and caregivers around her.  She was born February 10, 1926, the only daughter of Sheldon and Faye Miller, in Mexico, Missouri.

Norma graduated from Mexico High School and attended Hannibal LaGrange College.  In September 1945, she married Marion I. Precht at the First Baptist Church in Mexico.  In August of 1947, she and Marion were blessed with the birth to their only child, Sharon.

Norma was a life-long member of Mexico First Baptist Church where she served in multiple capacities including a Sunday School Teacher.  She was employed by the Mexico Public Schools, first as a high school librarian assistant and then as a high school secretary. Upon her retirement, they moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado.  She and Marion enjoyed their retirement among the Rocky Mountains, especially the view of Pike's Peak from their home's front window.  Upon Marion's death, she moved back to Mexico to be near her daughter and her family.

Norma is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Jim) Kropf of Mexico; granddaughters, Melissa (Kropf) Morris and husband Rodney of Sarasota, Florida and Carri (Kropf) Kern and husband Jason of Wentzville, Missouri; five great-grandchildren, Max Roberts of Kansas City, Trenton, Hudson, Tatum and Tia Kern of Wentzville.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband and parents as well as three brothers, Merle Miller, Kenneth Miller and Donald Miller.

At Norma's request, there will be no funeral services.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband at East Lawn Memorial Park in Mexico.
