Mitchel Lee Rodgers, 72, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, with family enjoying the warm weather on vacation.
A visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at East Lawn Memorial Park. Graveside services will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the shelter at East Lawn Memorial Park. The family encourages everyone to wear their favorite Harley Davidson clothing.
Following graveside services, everyone is invited to the First Baptist Church for refreshments.
Mitch was born on November 23, 1953, in Mexico, Missouri, the son of Robert Orlando and Frances Lee (Durham) Rodgers. He was a 1972 graduate of Mexico High School.
Mitch was a loving and devoted father and a friend to many. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for most of his life and was also an outstanding mechanic. During his retirement, he enjoyed repairing mowers and chainsaws for friends and family. Mitch was a proud recipient of a liver transplant in 2016, a gift that allowed him to enjoy many more meaningful years with those he loved.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and arrowhead hunting. He also had a passion for motorcycles and dearly loved animals, especially his dog, Max.
Survivors include his longtime companion of 33 years, Jolene Harrison of Mexico; three daughters, Casey George of Martinez, California, Hannah Rodgers (Brock Lunceford) of Mexico, and Haley Rodgers (Cole Whalen) of Mexico; two stepsons, Aaron Vines and Sean Vines, both of Martinez, California; and one sister, Donna (Jack) Willingham of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Frances Rodgers; and two brothers, Donnie Rodgers and Bobby Rodgers.
Memorial donations may be made to his daughters. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Street, Mexico, MO 65265.
