Michael Dale Uptegrove, 67, of Mexico, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023.

A celebration of life will be planned at a future date.

Mr. Uptegrove was born on August 19, 1955 in St. Louis, the son of William, Sr. and Gladys (Lovell) Uptegrove.  On September 5, 1986 he married Linda VanDover in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Michael spent his working years as an over the road truck driver.  He loved spending his leisure time deer hunting, fishing and boating at Mark Twain Lake.  Michael loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.  He was known for his sense of humor.  He also liked to work on the farm and "enjoy a cold one" with his friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Uptegrove of Mexico; two children, Jacob (Jessica) Uptegrove of Mexico and Shannon (Zachary) Scheetz of Waterloo, IL; one brother, Bill (Marty) Uptegrove of Troy; one sister, Mary Place of Hawk Point; four grandchildren, Nadia, Mila, Lyla and Loretta; four sisters-in-law, Krissy VanDover of Nashville, Gail McWilliams of St. Charles, Joan Johnston of St. Clair and Patty Luisi of New Jersey and dear friends, Jeff and Kris Welge of Mexico.

Mr. Uptegrove was preceded in death by his parents, William, Sr. and Gladys Uptegrove; one sister, Sue Lancaster and one brother-in-law, Bob Place.
