Michael Ray Rubemeyer, of Mexico, MO formerly of Bowling Green, MO passed away on June 13, 2025.  A private graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery.

Michael was born on June 1, 1961 to Raymond "Mickey" Rubemeyer and Lynda (Anderson) Rubemeyer.  He was married on October 9, 1982 to Merry Staples Rubemeyer until 2005.  He grew up in Bowling Green and attended Bowling Green Public Schools.

He is survived by Merry Rubemeyer who remained a close friend and his family no matter the circumstance.  His children Ashley Rubemeyer, and Michael Ray (Ciara Libby) Rubemeyer, II and his grandchildren, Jacob and Milo Rubemeyer of Mexico, MO; half-brother, Donnie Rubemeyer; step-sister, Meredith Davis. Along with a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew and extended family who will always miss his tender heart and comical personality.

Michael was kind, humorous and had a smile and laugh like no other.  He had a work ethic that was always commended.  From early on he held positions in the grocery industry.  During high school he was employed at Don's IGA in Bowling Green, MO.  From there he made a career with the Butternut Bread company and had a sales route where he delivered Butternut Bread all over his territory.  He loved this job, and everyone loved the "Butternut Bread Man" as he was kind, funny and always had a smile on his face.  He was most recently self-employed in yard care.

Michael was a father, son and friend.  He was a jokester who always showed affection by teasing and being playful no matter what.  He loved classic rock and jamming to the likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd.  He enjoyed watching baseball and collecting baseball cards.  And always one to enjoy work he never turned down mowing a yard for fun!  Most of all he loved being with family and friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Mickey and Lynda, three brothers, Vince, Scott and Bradly, his step father Raymond Lambert, and grandparents, Charles "Chick" and Barbara Anderson and William and Ruby Rubemeyer.

If I leave here tomorrow
