Michael Odell Allen, 63, of Sturgeon, Missouri, passed away on August 4, 2026. Born on May 8, 1963, in Mexico, Missouri, Mike was a man whose character left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mike was a man who gave his all to everything he did. Whether he was on the job or spending time with the people he loved, his dedication and reliability were qualities that earned him the deep respect of everyone who knew him. His word was his bond, and those who relied on him were never disappointed. His wit and laughter were gifts he shared freely, leaving behind countless memories that will bring smiles for years to come.

When he wasn't working or spending time with his family, Mike could be found enjoying the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and aviation. The Lake of the Ozarks and Mark Twain Lake were his favorite places to be. Family boating or camping outings were at the top of his list of things he enjoyed. He was so proud to say that he had his pilot’s license and lit up any time he spoke about it. He was a self-proclaimed grill master and always competed with his brother for the title.

Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cindy Allen; his brother, Marvin Richard Allen; his mother, Hilma Allen; his father, J.R. Allen and his great grandchild, Athena Violet Harrell. He is survived by his daughters, Tarra and Trasa Allen; his stepdaughters, Jamie (Jonathan) Cullihall and Amanda Matticks; his brother, Mitch (Debbie) Allen; and his sister, Dottie (David) Schaefer. He leaves behind his seven cherished grandchildren: Emily, Katie, Hayden, Kyler, Amari, Braelyn, and Amelia as well as great granddaughter, Juno. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The amount of support the family has received as they navigate the loss of this great man has been overwhelmingly abundant and is a tribute to who Mike was. His humor, his steadiness, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 21st, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico, MO.
