Michael Leon Kilmer, 78, of Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Northeast Missouri Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

Graveside Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, at East Lawn Memorial Park with Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Visitation is Sunday from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico.

Michael was born June 18, 1943 in Dexter, Missouri, the son of Rex and Pauline (Jones) Kilmer. On September 23, 1988, in Mexico, he married Judie K. Feger. She passed away on March 16, 1991.

Mr. Kilmer was a graduate of Dexter High School and worked for Shelter Insurance. He liked football and enjoyed travelling Colorado.

Survivors include one daughter, Kristy Rowles of Kirksville; one son, Kevin (Amye) Kilmer of Sikeston; and four grandchildren, Austin Rowles of St. Louis, Brooke Carter of Chicago, Sophia Carter of Sikeston and Avery Kilmer of Sikeston.

In addition to his wife, Judie, Michael was preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Pullum.
