Michael Henderson

Michael Eugene Henderson, 66, of Jefferson City, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Mexico with Rev. Penny Weston officiating.

Visitation is Saturday, December 27, from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Michael was born on October 27, 1959, in Mexico Mo, the son of James Henry Henderson and Betty Lou (Johnson) Henderson.

Mr. Henderson was a graduate of Mexico High School and graduated in 1978. Michael later attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. He had worked for State Farm (Oklahoma), Jefferson City Transit Division and most recently with Student Transportation of America also of Jefferson City, MO.

Survivors include two sons, Jordan (Melissa) Henderson and Julian (Sarah) Henderson, all of Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, Trenton, Brianna, Xavier, Jackson, Creed, Honor, Mason, Logan, Titan, Sophia, and Olivia; his mother, Betty Henderson of Mexico, step mother, Voisy Henderson; five sisters, Sharon (Donnie) Henderson Fowler (Fulton), Pamela Owen (St. Louis), Linda (Victor) Hubbard (Houston, Texas) , Marjorie Wagner (Charles) (Frisco, Texas), and Penny Weston (Jefferson City); along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of many friends near and far.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Henderson Jr; niece, Brandy; and his grandparents.

Michael would brighten up every room to all those who knew him.  Michael loved his family, cars, clothes and being a jokester.  Michael is going to be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
