Michael Patrick Carter, 65, of Monroe City, passed away at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Funeral Services are at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 28, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mike was born on March 23, 1956, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Harold and Mildred (Jackson) Carter. He had worked at the Handi-Shop in Mexico, and Sheltered Workshop and Learning Opportunities in Monroe City. Mike had also helped deliver Meals on Wheels.

Survivors include one sister, Jody (Bob) Witt of St. Charles; two nephews, Bobby Witt of Warrenton and Joey (Andrea) Witt of O'Fallon; one niece, Jenny (Mark) Williams of St. Charles; several great-nieces and great-nephews; an uncle, John (Pam) Carter of St. Charles; and an aunt, Mary Ann (Norb) Hackmann of St. Charles.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred Carter; and several aunts and uncles, Dot (Rob) Schaefer, Ella Pearl Steinmann, Elmer Jackson, Dorothy Daller, Maggie Borgmeyer, Ray Jackson, Pat Boschert, and Rich Jackson.
