Melvern Worley, Jr., 75, of Mexico, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at Arnold Funeral Home with burial to follow in Union Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Rich Neeley officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Melvern was born on April 19, 1947, in Mexico, the son of Melvern O. and Snodie Mae (Sharp) Worley, Sr. He married Barbara Hudnut on March 28, 1987, at Union Baptist Church.

Melvern worked for MODOT and farmed. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Worley of the home; son, Keith (Rebecca) Worley of Mexico; daughter, Melanie Worley of Mexico; two grandchildren, Tucker and Stella Worley of Mexico; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvern and Snodie Worley.
