Mary Lou Reynolds (née Garnett), of Mexico, passed away surrounded by family on March 5, 2023. She was 75.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy and Hurley Wayne Garnett. She is survived by her brother, Jack Garnett and her three children: Marsha Wilson (Grant), Frank (Jennifer), and Kenneth (Kelsey). Mary Lou is also survived by eight grandchildren (Alex, Breckin, Cody, Ella, Layla, Paige, TobyAnn and Zoey) and one beloved great-granddaughter (Hazel).

Mary Lou was born May 2, 1947 in Laddonia and spent most of her life living in Audrain County. She graduated from Community R-VI High School and trained as a cosmetologist, owning her own shops in Mexico and Laddonia for several years. Mary Lou devoted nearly two decades to her work at Audrain Medical Center, where she rose to leadership, took pride in guiding her team, and retired as Environmental Services Supervisor.

A wholehearted follower of Christ, Mary Lou belonged to the congregation of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mexico. She lived her life centering the values of her faith, rarely knowing a stranger, and often opening up her home to those who needed it. Mary Lou was involved in her community and gave her time to numerous philanthropic efforts. In recent years, she especially enjoyed volunteering at Mexico's Relay for Life.

Mary Lou was a devoted and loving mother, deeply invested in the well-being of her family. She will be remembered as a caring and resilient presence, hard worker, and friend to many.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson St., Mexico, MO 65265.
