Mary Sue Branham, 77, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.

Mary Sue was born on April 15, 1944, in Williamsburg, Missouri, the daughter of Thomas Homer and Helen Gertrude (Brandenburg) Black. On May 21, 1977, in Mexico, she married Freddie C. Branham, Jr.

Mrs. Branham was a 1961 graduate of Mexico High School. She had worked for State Farm Insurance, A.P. Green, and Mexico Public Schools, retiring in 2009.

Mary Sue loved crocheting, cross stiching, gardening and traveling. She also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments and Longaberger baskets.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Branham of the home; three children, David (Melissa) Sampo of Mexico, Debbie (Paul) Appling of Columbia and Danny (Brenda) Branham of Mexico; eight grandchildren, Erica Helling of Columbia, Jessica Helling of Columbia, Ryan Helling of Mexico, Cole Branham of Mexico, Sydny (Dalton) Logerman of Laddonia, Zoey Hull of Mexico, Austyn Sampo of Mexico and Aaryn Sampo of Mexico; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Oscar (Marjie) Black of Columbia and Jerry (Cindy) Black of Colorado; one sister, Betty Potts of Springfield; and one sister-in-law, Sandy Black of Mexico.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles (Mary Edith) Black and Bill Black; one sister, Linda Baldwin; and one brother-in-law, Bill Potts.

There will be no services scheduled.

Memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
