Marilyn Lou Fishburn, 80, of Auxvasse, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Heritage Hall in Centralia with her daughters and sons-in-law by her side.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marilyn was born on September 29, 1943, in Mexico, the daughter of Gill and Artie (Huffman) Bannister. On August 12, 1961, in Mexico, she married James R. Fishburn, Jr. He passed away on June 9, 2020.

Marilyn was a graduate of Mexico High School. She worked many years at Stride Rite in Fulton. She later was a homemaker and had also worked for Petro.

Mrs. Fishburn enjoyed quilting but most of all, she loved her grandbabies dearly.

Survivors include five daughters, Michelle (Mark) Blevins of Auxvasse, Robin Fishburn of Auxvasse, Sherry (Frankie) McCully of Auxvasse, Sharon Fishburn of Auxvasse and Crystal (Doug) Smith of Auxvasse; six grandchildren, Shelton (Kirsten) Blevins, Schuyler (Kristen) Blevins, Devon (Steven) Ross, Collin (McKenna Rhodes) Dungan, Jordan Fishburn and Dylan McCully; four great-grandchildren, Ella Blevins, Easton Blevins, Kennedy Blevins and Daniel Blevins; three sisters, Mila Hanny of Alabama, Marjorie Peak of Mexico and Martha (Jerry) Kobusch of Scott's Corner; and one brother, Richard (Susie) Bannister.

In addition to her husband, James F. Fishburn, Jr., Marilyn was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Newbrough; and one brother, Donald Bannister.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
