Margie Mae (Teter) Brumback, 96, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Mexico, Missouri.

Margie was born December 22, 1926, in Bevier, MO, the daughter of Jess & Lena (Powell) Teter. On November 1, 1947, Margie married Robert (Bob) Brumback in Macon, MO. Bob found work in Mexico, MO where the couple moved to. After living approximately nine years in Mexico they moved to Colorado Springs, CO for approximately 6 months and then returned to Mexico in 1958 to live out the rest of their lives.

Margie worked at Florsheim Shoe Company for a short while then became a stay-at-home Mom. Later she worked for K-Mar Builders & the Soil Conservation Services until she retired. She loved spending winters in Texas with family & friends. Margie was a member of the Centennial Baptist Church in Mexico.

Margie is survived by Karen (Tom) Hoer of Mexico, Larry (Melodie) Brumback of Jefferson City, MO; three grandchildren, Kristin (Carl) Mongler of Mexico, Mike Hoer, Columbia, MO and Doug (Ashley) Hoer of Kansas City, MO; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister; brothers, Claud L Teter and Billy Teter; and her husband, Bob, who was the love of her life.

Private graveside services were held Thursday, September 7, 2023 with interment at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO.
