Lyndell Wayne Farrah, 80, of Mexico, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his home.

A celebration of life will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Lockewood Park Baptist Church. Rev. Randy Jones will be officiating the service.  Burial will follow at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 6, at Lockewood Park Baptist Church.

Lyndell was born on October 3, 1944 in Mexico, the son of John Marvin and Ruby Lois (Smith) Farrah.  In September of 1962 he enlisted in the Navy and was assigned to the Sea Bees.  In June of 1963 Lyndell married Marilyn Kay Byrd.

Upon returning from the Navy, Lyndell reestablished his work at the Mexico Ledger in 1965.  A short time later he also began working at Rutter's Appliance.  In 1978 he moved with his wife Marilyn and two daughters, Barbara and Brenda, to Thompson.

On August 18, 1984, Lyndell married Sheila Longdon Knipp which added step sons, Jeff and Darin Knipp to the family.  He started Chigger Hill printing in his garage in Thompson in 1987, later moving the business to Mexico.

Lyndell loved to travel.  His travel included many different destinations which, included all 50 states.  Lyndell loved to drive and always enjoyed a road trip.  He was a member of the Lockewood Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Bates of Columbia and Brenda Atterberry of Mexico; one son, Darin Knipp of Mexico; one brother, Russell Farrah of Moscow Mills; two sisters-in-law, Lee Watts of Alabama and Darlene Farrah of Independence; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a family friend, Emiley Huighe.

Lyndell was preceded in death by two wives, Marilyn Farrah and Sheila Farrah; one son, Jeff Knipp; one grandson, Nathanial Knipp; three brothers, James Farrah, Charles Farrah, Stanley Farrah; sister-in-law, Bonnie Farrah; one niece, Rhonda Farrah and one nephew, Kevin Farrah.
