Linda Jane Wohlbold, 82, of Wellsville, MO passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at King's Daughters Home in Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, February 7 at Arnold Funeral Home in Mexico with Dale Mitchell officiating.  Burial will follow in the Wellsville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, February 7 at the funeral home.

Linda was born on December 10, 1943, in Boonville, MO, the daughter of Samuel and Goldie (Hampton) Pearre.  From the age of 18 months, she made her home with her Aunt Ruth and Uncle Carl George.  She was a 1961 graduate of Jamestown High School, Jamestown, MO.

Before her marriage, she was employed at MFA Insurance Company in Columbia, MO and afterwards she worked for A.P. Green Refractories.

On November 6, 1965, at Jamestown Baptist Church, she married Donald Gene Wohlbold.  They became parents of Darin Scott and Dana Ranee.  After the birth of their first child, Linda became a full-time homemaker and farm wife.  Linda and Don recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.

Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mexico, MO.  Over the years, she served as Sunday School teacher and church clerk.  She volunteered much of her time with Wellsville-Middletown R-1 Schools, Cub Scouts, 4-H leader, Young Farm Wives and Friends of the Library.  She was known for her cooking abilities, especially making pies.  She also enjoyed making crafts of all kinds.  Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

Survivors include her husband, Don Wohlbold of Wellsville; one son, Darin (Christy) Wohlbold of Kansas City; one daughter, Dana (David) Heim of Avon, IN; five grandchildren, Sam Wohlbold of Kansas City, Nick (Kenzie) Wohlbold of Olathe, KS, Nathan Heim of Clarksville, TN, Trenton Heim of Louisville, KY, and Kirsten Heim of Avon, IN; one great-granddaughter, Saylor Wohlbold of Olathe, KS.  Linda is also survived by her sister, Beverly Kimsey of Jefferson City, MO and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her brother, Don Bail and foster siblings, Shirley Baer, Marion Baer, Carole Meyer and Billie George.
