Lawrence Nolan "Larry" Fike, 69, of Mexico, died on Friday, February 25, 2022, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 4, at Arnold Funeral Home with Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Private burial will be in St. Brendan Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born on March 18, 1952 in Mexico to James Fike Sr. and Jane (Dawson) Fike. On September 2, 1972, at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Mexico, he married Brenda Niekamp, who survives at the home. He is a 1970 graduate of Mexico High School and received an associate degree in General Education from Moberly Junior College in 1972. He worked at Safford's Shoe Store for 28 years until it closed. He retired in 2016 from Graf and Sons. Larry was a member of the Mexico United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by a son, Jeremy, of Columbia; daughter, Heather (Brian) Mottaz of Hallsville; grandchildren, Kayleigh Fike of Fulton, Charlie Marie and Melanie Fike of Columbia, Dalton Whipple, Brock and Zeke Mottaz, all of Hallsville; a brother, James (Brenda) Fike of Columbia; a sister, Sue (Verle) Hugenot of Houston, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the Mexico United Methodist Church. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.
