LaVerne Parker, 90, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at St. Luke's Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Arnold Funeral Home with Kevin Wilkerson conducting the service.

Visitation will be on Thursday, November 18 from 1:00 until time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Parker was born on May 27, 1931 in Mexico, the daughter of Gerald and Eva (Tate) Rivers. On November 11, 1950, in Mexico, she married Frank E. Parker, Sr who preceded her death on September 13, 2002.

LaVerne enjoyed spending her free time square dancing and quilting.  She was also an avid cook and baker.  LaVerne worked as a hairdresser for many years.

Survivors include one son, Eddie Parker of Mexico; one daughter, Cindy Barnes of Centralia; four grandchildren, Heather Diltz of Edwardsville, IL, Hillary Cuno of Columbia, Jared Barnes of Centralia and Brian Barnes of Springfield, TN; one brother, Richard (Linda) Rivers of New Orleans, LA and nine great-grandchildren.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Parker; her parents, Gerald and Eva Rivers; five brothers, Gerald Rivers, Jr., Ramon Rivers, Donald Rivers, Darrel Rivers, Willard Rivers and one sister, Dixie Ritterbush.
