On the evening of June 28, 2024 Laurie Lynda Riggs of Mexico passed away at the age of 54. Laurie was born on October 29, 1969 in West Frankfort, Illinois, though she spent most of her life in Mexico, Missouri.

She was a 1987 graduate of Mexico High School where she participated in Band, Golf and Flag Squad. Laurie attended Moberly Area Community College studying Business and Marketing. She was a dental assistant for Healthy Smiles in Columbia, Missouri for 31 years. She also owned and operated Cherry Pitt Antiques.

Laurie had a tremendous love for antiques and an amazing flare for decorating. Many people will remember her designs in Antique Malls across Mid Missouri. She enjoyed Rock N Roll music and was a skilled guitar player. Her expertise on her motorcycle gained her many trophies. She was named the Top Women's Rider for many years in the Heart of Missouri Hog Chapter. Laurie was a dedicated animal lover and had a soft spot for dogs in need.

She is survived by her parents David and LuAnn Riggs of Fulton, Missouri, sister Dayna Leigh Riggs, niece Paige Austin Prather and nephew Tysan Dane Fagerland, all of Tucson, Arizona.
