Laura Mae Nelson, "Mae Mae", 82 years young passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 23, 2023 surrounded by peace and love gaining her wings.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, at Arnold Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Laura was born to Dorothy & Carl Woodall on September 3, 1940. She was a lifelong resident of Mexico and attended Mexico Public Schools. She worked at Audrain Medical Center for a number of years. Laura was a staple in the Mexico community and opened her door to many. She enjoyed life and always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite past time was playing cards, cooking and going to the Casino. She enjoyed sharing her love for the game and her favorite recipes. You could always count on Laura Mae and her love and generosity.

Her family and friends will continue to carry her with them in love every day.
